Notre Dame High School Launches Horizons Summer Program

Notre Dame High School in Fairfield has launched a Horizons Summer Program, serving Bridgeport students in grades K-12.

The program has grown from welcoming 30 children in 2019 to over 110 children in 2022.

It strives to bridge the education gap by providing students with the opportunity to continue learning beyond the normal school day. It emphasizes literacy, science, technology, engineering, and math.

The program takes a whole-child approach to educating its students by incorporating field trips, swimming lessons, sports recreation, and exposure to the arts.

Upcoming Musical Tribute to Fairfield University

Tickets are available for “Oh What A Night,” a musical tribute to singer Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on September 10 at 7 p.m.

There will be an evening arts reception at 6 p.m. that includes free drinks, a dessert bar and a preview of the silent auction.

The performance is part of the school’s 20th anniversary gala, Evening for the Arts, which raises money for the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to the educational enrichment and professional development of young artists and early-career professionals.

All proceeds from the event go towards scholarships, educational programs and community sponsorships throughout Connecticut, especially in New Haven and Fairfield counties.

Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door.
